A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to oversee daily pharmacy operations at a retail pharmacy location in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and clinical appropriateness
- Dispense medications and provide counseling and education to patients as needed
- Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation
- Oversee pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, labeling, and expiration monitoring
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
- Maintain current knowledge of HIPAA, Fraud Waste & Abuse, and other healthcare compliance requirements
- Supervise and support Pharmacy Technicians in daily workflow activities
- Assist with technician scheduling, performance feedback, and operational oversight
- Promote efficient pharmacy operations and a high standard of customer service
- Collaborate with leadership regarding staffing, workflow, and operational needs
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with pharmacy patient management systems
- Ability to maintain regulatory and compliance standards
