Nurse Practitioner

Job description

An established healthcare organization is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive patient care in an occupational and primary care clinic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-employment, return-to-work, and annual wellness examinations.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform health screenings and preventive care programs.
  • Evaluate and treat workplace injuries and common illnesses.
  • Consult with medical leadership regarding patient cases and care plans.
  • Oversee employee health testing programs, including respirator fit and hearing conservation testing.
  • Provide patient education, wellness coaching, and health advocacy services.
  • Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing as appropriate.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.
  • Coordinate care and make referrals to specialists or other healthcare professionals when indicated.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Support clinic operations and assist with additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with an active state license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or a related outpatient setting.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong communication and patient engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and evidence-based care.
