StaffQuest is seeking a Red Seal Electrician to work with our client, a premier provider of electrical services known for their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. They specialize in a wide range of electrical solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

As a Certified Electrician with Red Seal certification, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards. You will work both independently and as part of a team, providing high-quality service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installation: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This includes wiring, circuit breakers, panels, outlets, and lighting systems.
• Inspection and Testing: Perform inspections and diagnostic tests on electrical systems to identify faults or deficiencies. Use testing equipment to ensure systems operate correctly and safely.
• Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical work adheres to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and other relevant regulations. Obtain necessary permits and inspections as required.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including system malfunctions and failures. Provide effective solutions and recommendations to address problems.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, providing clear explanations of work performed and answering any questions they may have. Offer advice on electrical safety and system maintenance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, material used, and time spent on each job. Complete and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Safety: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to best practices for electrical safety.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members, including apprentices, contractors, and supervisors. Share knowledge and support the development of less experienced staff.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Certification: Valid Red Seal certification as a Journeyman Electrician, demonstrating recognized competence and expertise in the trade.
• Experience: Proven experience as an electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and components. Experience in residential, commercial, and industrial environments is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools. Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. Ability to explain technical information clearly and effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various environments.
• Valid Driver’s License: A valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record.
